M*A*S*Hy Ramblings Time!!!

lord_cellytronAlthough I don't know why; I'd seen both the episodes before and both were of little consequence.
First one was the "GASP!! We have no anesthesia and Margaret passed out from too much Ether, and Mulcahy and Charles went to get more but Charles was a moron and they got taken for everything they had, but then they went back and stole the anesthesia from the Korean guys because they were drunk on Charles' wine and all was well!!!!!!11" episode.
Gee, that was pretty easy, actually. On to episode 2!
Episode 2 was the "GASP!! Hot reporter Aggie O'Shea shows up and She's hot for BJ!" episode. Now, BJ is far from my favorite character (One day I'm gonna make a list of my faves, in order.. and he won't even be in the top 5. You'll see.) but for some reason, that woman fucking PISSED ME OFF. She was really cute and everything, but her attitude just... UGH!!! Everytime they had a romantic scene, it was just eyeroll after eyeroll. What the hell did he SEE in her?! I mean, she just totally threw herself at him... it was awful. And like she REALLY expected him to leave Peg for her? That he even considered it... rawr!
The scene in the Mess Tent where everyone was gossiping about them kinda made me go WTF, as well. There was a.. um.. somewhat "nice" C/K dialogue.. where Klinger was naming off the three things it's most likely they're doing, and Charles sighs deeply and says, "Klinger... the poets call it, 'Hubba Hubba!'" Or something weird like that.
But what freaked me out is the fact that Mulcahy defends them by saying they're consenting adults and it's none of their business if they're.. what the hell did he say? Well, something about Woo. But um... like.. isn't marital infidelity like... a sin.. and stuff? He was a little too cavalier if you ask me. :P
Ah, still.. I was SO glad when he walked out on her. Stupid bitch. >O< Die, Aggie. Die. I think I can honestly say she's the first character on M*A*S*H I really and truly hate. >D
Oh damn, though. That scene with Hawkeye on the bike in Post-Op... I was rolling on the floor. "OH! I didn't see you there!!" XD
AND, Klinger was hilarious.
BJ: "She's painting my portrait."
Klinger: *Points* "She left all her art stuff over there." HE IS SO CUTE OMFGGGG
Ha, and Aggie's like "He sings very well!" XD
Slightly OT, but I think I can now truthfully say I was born for the post-Radar eps. When the second episode came on and Radar's head was noticeably absent from the credits, and it went straight to Jamie Farr, I totally squeed and jumped up and down in my chair. I'm sorry, Radar's great and everything, but I just fucking LOVE Klinger as company clerk. All the uniform wearing's not so good, admittedly... but all my stories have him as CC and any possibility of him delivering mail or being in that beautiful office... it's just the shit! I guess that makes me in the minority, since so many people think he's grossly overexposed and no one can replace Radar and the general consensus is that eps from 1980 on suck anyway... I disagree. They may not be the masterpieces that like, the post- Trapper/Henry, pre-Charles ones are, but the character development in the final seasons is so amazingly fangirl-worthy. I mean, Klinger turns competent! Charles actually acts human sometimes! But both manage to keep their traits that make them so wonderfully endearing (Come on, who can lay on the crap like no one's business????! Huh? And who can be stuffy and arrogant one minute and freaking out over nearly being killed the next?!?!?)
Besides, even though I have to admit that the quality dips a wee bit... that just makes me want to adopt them all the more. The great episodes that everyone loves don't need coddling. And you know my maternal instinct.
