Ahhhhhh, today before each episode I had that same old giddy feeling and my pulse was racing. It's so nice to have something I love so much. ^_^
The first episode was the one where Potter and Charles have the mumps and they get this substitute surgeon who was supremely elite but broke down at the end. And when I say that man broke down, I mean that motherfucker broke *DOWN*. I mean, walking out of the OR, disappearing, sitting on the floor in Potter's tent shaking and rubbing his hands to try to get the nonexistant blood off... it was really supremely acted, and everybody watching him had this look on their face that really sent chills down my spine. Margaret was crying, for god's sake, and Charles looked so upset. ;_;
Lots of good feuding between Potter and Charles, too.. ha ha. And of course, of COURSE, at the end Klinger got the mumps too and came stumbling into the tent. Yeeeah, baby.
I'd seen the end of the second one before, twas the one where everyone was celebrating what at first was "Hawkeye's birthday", then it turned into "BJ's wedding anniversary" and then at the end it became some sergeant's birthday. Everyone just needed something to celebrate, and so they had presents and a cake and everything.
Oh man, cutest scene of the episode. Klinger was decorating the cake, and Charles came into the kitchen to see how he was doing. Klinger asked what he thought of it, and it turns out he spelled it "Happy Birthhday". Klinger was all, "No one will notice! I'm just going to leave it!" And then Father Mulcahy came in and Charles asked him if he noticed anything wrong, referring to him as "Father Mulcahhy". *dies laughing* Klinger was all dejected and said, "That doesn't count! You gave him a hint!" And Charles did that cute little laugh in his face thingy and told him to get rid of the H. ****S.Q.U.E.E.****
Later on, Margaret came in and told him that he needed to redo the whole thing, since it was BJ's anniversary now. Klinger whined about how he'd been at it for 5 hours (5 fuggen hours to decorate a cake..) and when she was leaving, he asked her how many H's she doesn't want.
And, of course, when it became the random sergeant's birthday, everyone was happily handing him presents and Klinger just sighed and started scraping the wording off the cake yet again. Poor guy.. XD
Oh, it was also the episode with Alan Alda's father and brother, and his father played this total control freak who constantly insisted on everyone doing everything his way (oh, I guess that's the definition of a control freak, isn't it?), for example he would always spontaneously decide that someone in every seating arrangement was sitting in the wrong spot, so twice he had everybody get up and move. At the bar, he tells Hawkeye what to drink and everything.
Of course, no summary is complete without one Charles/Klinger observation, and when Charles orders some sort of drink (I assume something hoity-toity), Klinger orders the same thing with a beer chaser. XD And when they're all leaving, Klinger tells the bartender to put his drink in the fridge so it won't go bad.
Charles: "I'm going to kill him. He is a dead man."
XDDDDD And cuteness of cuteness, the guy who Robert Alda played asked them if they still had the guy running around dressed as some.. uh... chick, okay. Gypsy, I think, and Klinger does that cute little finger twirl thing and says that the fur coat, hood and red and white scarf he's wearing is his tomboy outfit. EEEEEEEEEEE...
